Some of the main reasons for sentive skin include the following:
      – some people might have underlying skin disorders or allergic skin reactions because of there being something wrong with their immune system.
      – Their skin might be too dry or be injured and so it isn’t as good at protecting the nerve endings in the skin
      – People might also have skin damage because of too much sun or wind or getting over hot or too cold
      – Other things that might influence skin sensitivty is age, gender, and genetics

Hello there. Miranda has given a lot of really good reasons why some people might have more sensitive skin. Another thing to think about is that on our bodies, even though skin covers the whole thing, not all of the skin is the exact same. Some skin on our body is a bit thicker and tougher, like the skin on the bottoms of our feet – this is to help protect our feet. But, some skin, like that on our hands is a bit thinner and not as tough – this is because we need to have delicate skin in order to be able to feel things properly, so it might end up a little more sensitive.

And skin can be sensitive or allergic to some very strange things. Some people get rashes when other people touch them, or if something slightly warm touches them (so they have to have cold showers or baths, can’t exercise or have a heavy duvet). A handful of people around the world are even allergic to water!!!
